Clover Cottage overlooks pretty greenery and woodland, where deers can be seen; it is a peaceful and quiet location. However, the home is also within easy reach of local shops. A short drive or bus journey (the bus stop is next to the home) can take you in to Romford town centre – Romford has over 400 great shops, cafés, restaurants, cinemas and a well known traditional market.

Our care home is also close to the A12/A127 and the M25 making it very accessible. There is free parking on-site and on the road outside the home.

Clover Cottage itself is very friendly and homely; it has an open large communal lounge, which is split by a fireplace in the middle. The lounge has two televisions, one on either side of the fireplace. Leading from the lounge is a spacious conservatory and double doors that open to a lovely landscaped rear garden and outhouse. If they wish, Clover Cottage's residents can partake in gardening activities, although our gardener ensures the garden is always in good shape to bring peace and tranquillity. The garden is a lovely place to sit and meet visitors to the home.

Within Clover Cottage we have seven bedrooms located on the ground floor and nine on the first floor, these are accessed by a lift. We also have a stairlift, which can be used in emergencies. Each room is delightfully decorated and furnished. Residents are encouraged to bring their own treasured possessions and some small items of furniture with them when they move in, so they can settle into their new home effortlessly.

Our mission:

At Clover Cottage our very extensive experience in the care industry enables us to respond quickly to the ever-changing needs of our residents. Our carers undergo regular training and that enables them to continually evaluate residents' needs, and improve on the quality of service and care provided. All residents are encouraged to maintain as much independence as possible, just as they would in their own home – we offer help and support when needed.

We encourage family and friends to visit loved ones as much as possible . Equally we support and encourage family and friends, where possible, to take their loved ones on excursions and days-out.

Our vision:

At Clover Cottage we aim to be a leading provider of care, by creating a comfortable work and living environment for our staff and residents. Clover Cottage aspires to establish a current, yet traditional, living space that is inclusive to the many individual needs. It is important in our commitment to Health and Care, that we put quality first in everything we do to support our residents.

Involvement in the development of our home is necessary to ensure both staff and resident needs are met. This is a partnership between care home and its community; only by respect and successful teamwork can we truly deliver the kindest care experience for everyone.

Our values:

Clover Cottage is proud in providing excellent care to all its residents every minute of every day. Our core values and commitment are:

  • To provide respect and dignity to each resident.

  • To involve as far as possible residents' families with daily life at Clover Cottage.

  • To preserve each resident's right to remain independent.

  • To offer each resident the right of freedom of choice.

  • To treat each resident as an individual.

  • To tailor the service that meets each resident's individual needs.

Our care:

The standard and quality of care we aim to provide at Clover Cottage is second to none. We encourage each resident to live life to the full and our dedicated carers do whatever it takes to make every individual as happy and comfortable as is possible, and work hard to minimise any discomfort some of the residents may have from time to time, due to their physical and/or mental difficulties.

At Clover Cottage we believe in providing regular and on-going training to all staff so that they are fully equipped to provide the highest standard of care to our residents. The training programme includes high dependency needs, dementia awareness, palliative care and end of life care.

Our Manager, Mrs Lorraine Marney , started her career as a carer in the domiciliary care sector, working her way up to a senior role and then coming into residential care.   Lorraine has many years experience in helping patients with acute dementia and learning disabilities. Lorraine  is passionate about providing a home-from-home caring environment (at Clover Cottage) where everyone, including staff, feels respected and appreciated. She has an open door policy, encouraging openness and transparency and she has a practical hands-on approach. Lorraine is always pleased and willing to help.

The safeguarding of vulnerable adults is always our top concern. All members of the Clover Cottage team undertake training in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults; we are committed to the provision of safe, quality care. Our proprietors view any complaints in a positive way and work with the team to continually improve our service.
