Making the decision to leave the independence of your own home or choosing the best residential home for your loved family member is hard, the choice at such a difficult time can be overwhelming.
At Clover Cottage we want to support you through this process, you can contact us 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, with any question about elderly care or for advice. We’d also like to arrange an appointment for you to visit Clover Cottage. Come and meet our team and say "hello" to our residents.
When you enter Clover Cottage the first thing that you will notice is how it feels just like a large detached house, it doesn't feel cold and clinical. From the kitchen comes the lovely smell of freshly prepared home made foods being baked in the oven, and then comes the call "would you like a cuppa and some biscuits?” The TV is on in the lounge and residents are sat comfortably, either watching their favourite shows or undertaking therapeutic activities such as crafts and house games.
The cosy and traditional TV lounge leads on to a newly built and warm day room, which is also used as a dining room, from where the residents can enjoy views of our pretty rear garden, which also has outdoor seating for relaxing in (when the English weather allows!).
At Clover Cottage we aim to provide a friendly 'home-from-home' environment with residents encouraged to give their rooms a personal touch by adding their own small pieces of furniture and ornaments.
Our approach is to support our residents and their welfare is paramount, whether it is physical, psychological, cultural or social wellbeing. Our team members are carefully selected and receive regular training in all aspects of care. The owner of Clover Cottage, Mr Tim Magon, visits every day, where possible, and his father was also a resident of Clover Cottage – Clover Cottage is not just a business it's an extended family!

We are a small home with only 16 bedrooms, meaning that all residents are treated as individuals.

A doctor, optician, dentist and chiropodist regularly visit the home.

Every Wednesday our qualified hairdresser visits Clover Cottage, and has been doing so for the past 11-years, ensuring that our residents feel and look their best.

We have available single, double or garden rooms (some with en-suite facilities).

We are able to care for residents with dementia.

Organised activities are regularly held and we arrange outings to the seaside and the theatre. We also hold celebrations for parties, anniversaries etc.
